1. Overview
  • Theme: Possible World x Education 

  • Date: Sep 06, 2024 09:00–11:00 JST 

  • Location: Online 

  • Countries connected: Australia, New Zealand and Japan

  • Number of Participants: 6 people (after one participant experienced technical difficulties and left)




2. Workshop Overview and Highlights
  • Why Possible World?: Because we know so much, yet something is still missing… Let’s explore that with Possible World to transform our knowledge into wisdom

  • Check-in: Brief self-introductions and one word best describing 'me' now.

  • Game Instruction: Explanation of basic rules and operations of the game

  • Exploration Session: A couple of players struggled to figure out how the game works. We had a few people who had never been interested in playing online games (I am grateful that they still joined the session!).

  • Serious Gameplay: At the initial stage, the participants were quiet doing whatever they could do themselves. Later they were engaged in active communication and collaboration

  • Reflection: Pen and Paper

  • Dialogue: Questions included: What are you feeling in your heart and gut right now? How did you overcome them during the play?

  • Check-out: Final sharing of thoughts and preview of the next session



 3. Participant Voices
It wasn't until I experienced the game with others today, communicating and collaborating, that the name 'Possible World' truly resonated with me.
I realized how my behaviors can have both positive and negative impacts on others and how I can contribute to creating a positive atmosphere.
At the beginning I was skeptical abour the game as I don' play games at all.
I felt the potential of the online experience. This is where I realised that communication is really important.
Some are good at focusing on what they do individually while others looking at the bigger picture. We don't always have to be good at both...

 4. Reflections and Learnings
  • Key Learnings and Insights: Even people who don't play games in general can enjoy playing Possible World and learn something new. The game session provides different experiences and different learnings every time.
