What is the 2030 SDGs Game?

A multiplayer game that simulates taking the “real world” into the year 2030.

What is the "Transforming Our World" - 2030 SDGs Game experience?

This game was inspired by the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, developed by Imacocollabo in Japan in 2016.

This experience has become a powerful and impactful social phenomenon, earning extensive media coverage and reaching over 250,000 participants. The 2030 SDGs Game was held at the United Nations headquarters in 2019. Read more.

2030 SDGs Game events are held in corporate, governmental, educational, and community settings. We now have over 1000 certified facilitators in Japan and around 100 globally.

Here is your chance to preview this simulation experience from Japan, for your organisation.

Here are some voices from people who experienced the game. You can find one of the videos here.

“It was a very fascinating game. It was a simulated world, however, the game allowed me to see how the three different areas in the SDGs goals respond when people collaborate, share and work towards common goals. "

"The game makes you realize how your individual choices that you make in your private life everyday influence the state of the world"

"After experiencing the game, I was very excited to find a tool which will help people understand the importance of the SDG’s and how they relate to real world scenario’s."

"We have confirmed the need to promote the SDGs, and it has inspired and motivated us to act in real life to build the world we want to see in 2030. “

What effect does the game have?

This is an innovative, unique and highly collaborative approach to real world issues. Participants often experience a change in perspective. Most players finish the game feeling excited, connected and ready to take action. Players often ask, “What can I do next to make a difference?”

Who runs the 2030 SDGs Game?

The 2030 SDG’s Game workshop will be facilitated by Aya Matsuyama from Imacocollabo. The opportunity of organising a ‘short notice’ game event in Sydney is being supported by local Northern Beaches sustainability advocates keen to play and review the 2030 SDGs Game for their community.

You can! Anyone can! Seeing is Believing.

This is a public game event in Sydney which provides a unique opportunity for interested managers and member of the public to experience and review the game as a dynamic tool that can support the sustainability aspirations fo their organizatins and community.
