“What Is Enough?” — Reflections from a Possible World Discovery Session

Five women from five different places. All had experienced the 2030 SDGs Game—and now came together for a deeper journey: a 2-hour Possible World Discovery Session.

This wasn’t just a simulation. It was an invitation. An invitation to run projects, negotiate, collaborate, and reflect on the kind of world we want to co-create.

There was active dialogue, thoughtful decision-making, and sincere efforts to support one another. And yet, by the end of the game, only one person achieved the numerical part of her goal.

Her response left a quiet impact:

“I don’t want anything. I’ve achieved my goal. You can have my projects, my money—everything.”

That moment shifted the room. It invited others to ask themselves:

How much is enough? And what are we really seeking?

One participant shared:

“I know this game inside out. But today, I was lost. I did everything—communicated, negotiated, gave generously. Still, I couldn’t even achieve half my goal. Everyone else seemed to know what they were doing.” Her goal: Social Justice.

As the simulation progressed, rich dialogue emerged:

  • 🌱 Insights around diversified investments, timing, and the need for a collective vision

  • 🧠 Honest reflections on being bound by personal values, and the realization that collaboration requires strategy

  • ❤️ A recurring theme: listening deeply, embracing imperfection, and valuing the process over the outcome

This Discovery Session was not just about learning the mechanics of a game. It was a space to pause, notice, and remember: Sometimes, the most meaningful goals aren’t measured in numbers.
