The Possible World 18 People Built - Event Report: Beyond 2030 in Tokyo:
On August 24, we held a Possible World session using physical cards in Fuchu, Tokyo.
Possible World is normally run online. This time, prompted by a temporary return home by Darwin, Australia–based P-Lab member Aya (Matsuyama Aya), 18 participants gathered together in the same place to build a "world."

2. The Possible World 18 People Built
With five different kinds of goals, and only limited time and resources, what do you choose, who do you engage with, and what kind of world do you build?
This time, alternating between the game and reflection, the group even took on an unplanned third round. Having played the game once, reflected, and gained insight doesn't guarantee the next round will necessarily produce a "better world."
While more individuals reached their personal goals, the world as a whole didn't change the way people had pictured it. This became a time for all kinds of questions and realizations, including that lingering unease.

3. Participants' Voices
I felt that the world is free, and its possibilities are infinite.
I felt that a world is built not just by reaching your own goal, but by staying aware of what kind of world you want to create.
I was able to feel that I too am one of the people building this world. There's no right answer, but I felt so many possibilities.
It was refreshing to experience that lingering unease of the third round producing a similar world all over again.
4. Exploring Possibility in a World With No Right Answer
Whether in person or online, what matters most in Possible World remains the same:
In a world with no right answer, what do you feel, what do you choose, how do you act?
As the decisions of all 18 people layered together, one more Possible World was born.
